G’Man on the Podium at EASI Race 5…

EASI Race 5 at Trifarm Essex. 09/04/23

Introducing G’Man (Graham Ives), our awesome Grand ‘Kūpuna’ of Norfolk Sup Racing Team….!

This was his 4th race this year and his best result yet, gaining a nearly podium-topping second place in the Novice class.

A slightly shorter course than normal, but with six buoy turns on a small lake (TriFarm Essex) made it good viewing for the spectators and a challenge for the competitors.

Having attend most of the coached sessions throughout the winter with months, and using a race tactic we have been practising regularly (if you want to learn these tactics, then come and join Norfolk SUP Racing), certainly helped me on the day.

Thanks to our head technical coach Martin (@broadsuper) and my teammates at NSRT who always push me to be better!

If you fancy upping your game, improving your fitness and learning the technicalities of SUP racing then I thoroughly recommend you give it a try - NSRT train on Monday evenings in the summer and Saturday mornings through the winter.

Thanks also to hosts Frangipani Sup and the EASI team for rescheduling this event at TriFarm, Essex, and a warm welcome and friendly atmosphere was typical of all these events I have attended throughout the winter EASI series.

G’man…
